COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Bayside Search Group is currently working on multiple Associate Buyer openings with a dynamic, multi-channel retailer located in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area! This organization is located near some of Florida’s most beautiful beaches, and values collaboration, family, and a great work/life balance! This organization is seeking Retail Associate Buyers with experience in Ladies or Men’s Apparel, Infants, Shoes & Accessories, or Home! 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and implement financial and unit goals for areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for all merchandise purchases for assigned departments.
• Authority to establish price points for merchandise.
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve sales and gross margin goals.
• Manage all vendor communication, follow-up and problem resolution on merchandise purchases.
• Conduct competitive shopping reviews with authority to evaluate, make recommendations and implement.
• Plan and execute sales promotions based on chain wide ad calendar.
• Manage and maintain all pricing strategies.
• Work closely with Planners and Distributors to understand individual store needs. Communicate these needs to buyers so that store assortments and allocations may be properly tailored to individual stores.
• Work closely with Product Development Team as needed to develop and execute exclusive product.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant or Associate Buyer working in a corporate retail environment
• Four year degree in Retail Merchandising, Business Administration and/or Marketing or equivalent retail buying experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong retail math skills
